Getting a machine onto its pad is rigging. Getting it to run right is millwright work: setting it on the anchors, leveling it to the builder's spec, aligning what drives what, and putting the line back together in order. We do both, so the crew that moved it is the crew that makes it ready to run.
Quick answer: Millwright services cover the installation and precision alignment of industrial machinery — setting equipment on baseplates and foundations, anchoring, precision leveling, laser and dial-indicator shaft and coupling alignment, and assembling conveyors and production lines. A rigger sets a machine in place; a millwright makes it run true. A rigger's job traditionally ends when the load is on the ground in the right spot. A millwright's job starts there: making sure the machine sits on its foundation the way its builder intended, that it's level and not twisted, that the motor lines up with the pump or gearbox it drives, and that the conveyor feeding it runs true. Skip that part and a machine that was moved perfectly can still wear out bearings, chatter, or never hold tolerance.
On most projects those are two different contractors, and the machine sits in the gap between them. We close it.
